About Meadowcroft
Established in 1998, Meadowcroft is a full service hunter/jumper/equitation training stable based in Woodside, California. Headed by Lyn Irving, Meadowcroft is recognized as one of the leading show barns on the West Coast. Quality of training and safety are of utmost importance at Meadowcroft. Lyn began her career working with John French (two time world hunter rider winner and current national champion) before she left to create Meadowcroft. She is now a well-respected and well known trainer who provides a training program where excellence is achieved by each and every one of her students. Whether it is in the short stirrup, the Jr.Hunter ring or an equitation final, Lyn perfectly prepares her students and horses for each challenge. Lyn's students have won countless championships at every prestigious A circuit horse show in California and Oregon.
Lyn's training is designed to provide each rider with an individual program to help meet their specific goals in a safe and fun environment. Whether they choose to compete or not, Lyn has a program that promises fun and success at every level. Lyn also has a wealth of experience buying and selling horses and Meadowcroft is now offering both a horse leasing and riding lesson program. Clients can choose a tailor- made training program which includes any combination of 6 weekly training rides or lessons or half training which includes 3 weekly rides or choose a lesson by lesson program. Although many clients do compete, show attendance isn't required and training continues for horses and riders during shows for those who choose to stay home.
Lyn oversees every aspect of training, horse care and stable management. Lyn is assisted by a team of full time, trained grooms. Meadowcroft works closely with top veterinarians, farriers and body work specialists to ensure the horses are in optimal health and condition. Lyn has established long standing relationships with many horse care vendors which streamlines care and minimizes unforeseen costs.
Located at Portola Farms in Woodside California, you will be trained at one of the premier equestrian centers in Northern California throughout the year, regardless of weather. Our facility has two large covered arenas, one which is lighted for evening lessons. Two additional outdoor arenas which allow for minimal crowding of lessons and endless course and jump options. The horses are monitored 24 hours a day and their care is unparalleled at Portola Farms.
